Mother of three wonderful children who keep me occupied with planned and unplanned projects.
My passion became a latest project Sun Protective Swimming Hat Nammu. It helped many people protect themselves from harmful Sun rays.
We worked hard on creating a true UV protective extreme sports hat, and it paid off! It's loved by children and adults, boys and girls equally.
That's it for now.

How did it all start - The beginning of the Nammu journey
http://www.nammuhats.com/My kids love swimming since young age. They take after their mom :) I'm a big fan of length swimming as way to keep the body and sole in shape (I will write more about this in another post). Their favorite outdoor activity is swimming. Especially my oldest son, who can literally spend hours in the water. When he was younger (he is 9 now) I have noticed brown spots on his head and got worried form all this sun exposure on his head, especially under water as I read that the sun exposure even greater under the water because of the water reflection. Of course I bought him sun protective bathing suit, lathered him with sun cream (which by the way he was allergic to most commonly sold brands until I found the "Perfect sun cream" (will tell you all about it in another post), but his head with the growing brown spots was still exposed to the sun. And NO, you can't swim and dive with any regular sun hat or not even with cotton bandana. It was tested by 3 active boys and did not pass the test. When his twin brothers were born he was 2, these two, just like their brother LOVE swimming and were diving in the pool before they could walk or talk. So even though I bought them cute sun protective wide brim hats, it was not much use while diving in the pool. I drove my self crazy and got very tired running after them putting the sun hat on every time they step for a minute out of the pool. I had the same problem with bad UV exposure in all of this great splash pads and water slides. I looked around at other kids searching for solution. More I searched more I realize there is no available solution to sun exposure while in and around the water, and all around me all I could see is uncover kids' head out there in the hot sun. One day, I thought to myself: "I will buy swim cap and here we go". How come I didn't think about it before? I was so pleased and happy with my smartness. I went to the store and bought my kids 3 lycra (or spandex) swim cap. "What is it?" said, my back than, 5 years old son when he saw the new swimming hats I just bought, "I will never wear it to the pool, this is NOT cool". Ok, the rhyme is nice I admit, but the problem was not solved. So I bought cute shark look a like silicon swim cap. What can be cooler than a shark? I thought and if it is not cool enough to a 5 years old with high fashion awareness, it will for sure be good enough for a 3 years old twin. The shark was cool enough for the 3 years old, but did you ever try to put this tight silicon swim cap on your head? Not comfortable at all, pulling the hair and so so tight, or as my son called them "brain shrinkers". My kids refused to wear them.Back at the start point, I was getting discourage and summer was on full blast. One day in the shower I had an idea (this is the place when all my best ideas popping): SWim cap is good for the swimming part and will protect their head while swimming out side in the sun, and bandana is cool looking and tie in the back so it will stay on. I will create new "stylish cool swim bandana UV protective fabric sun cap". Well this is not a catchy name but this was the idea and from there the journey of Nammu (the name, the product and the business) begin. And it is still rolling growing more and more all the time.... this blog will follow Nammu journey from an idea, to a product, to a business, to meeting new people, to making friends, to ever ending learning, exploring discovering and to fun, lots of fun safe in the sun.
